Steve is a fully licensed CMHC counselor in Utah with a deep passion for helping people navigate their way through healing from trauma and other life transitions. He especially loves working with adults, couples, teens, and military veterans.
Steve graduated from Southern Utah University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He then continued his education at Liberty University, where he completed his MA degree in Professional Counseling. He expects to complete his PhD in Psychology at Walden University in early 2026.
Steve worked at a mental health hospital for four years and then moved to the Veterans Administration for a couple of years. His experiences helped him develop a broad understanding of therapeutic interventions, cultural awareness, and sensitivity to best help his clients.
Steve draws from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches and on evidence-based techniques like CBT, CPT, DBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Gottman method couples’ therapy. Steve’s goal is to create a compassionate and safe space to create growth and healing.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and playing computer games when he can.
