Attica received her Bachelor’s Degree, with a double major, from the University of Utah in Family Consumer Studies and Psychology, with a minor in Spanish. She received a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Attica has 5 years of experience as a Clinical Supervisor. She has over 15 years of experience working as a Mental Health Therapist working with clients suffering form addictions and Trauma. Based on these experiences, Attica has identified her strengths as working with Trauma (PTSD), Depression, Divorce-Blended Family, Suicidal Prevention, LGBTQ Community, and Addiction. Attica implements Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused when working with her clients.
Attica believes when we experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for our lives to unravel. She believe’s that having a broken past is what allows the unfolding of our best, most brilliant selves, which allows us to write our new story. Her passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic or stressful experience. Her goal is to help her clients (including children, adults, and families) find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships.
Attica loves spending time with her family and hiking. She recently picked up the hobby of rock climbing.
